Katie Purcell

Katie went to Severna Park High School in Maryland as a freshman and sophomore, playing as a starting infielder on regional championship teams that went on to finish as state champions in her first season and as state runner-up in her second year. She transferred to Plano West Senior High School, where she earned first team all-district honors as a junior. Katie also played on the Texas Rapid Fire Gold select/travel softball team, coached by Brian Menefee.

Katie returned to the state of Maryland for college, where as the second baseman for Towson University she become the first freshman to start in the four-year history of the program. She later transferred to the University of Oklahoma, where she graduated in May 2011 with a communications major and a business minor. She currently is a ball girl for the Texas Rangers.
